Founded in 1940, Santa Clara County Legal Professionals Association (SCCoLPA) is a chapter of Legal Secretaries, Incorporated (LSI). Members of SCCoLPA are persons involved directly in the law field and legal community. We have legal secretaries, legal assistants, paralegals, attorneys, legal administrative personnel, and students, to name a few..
SCCoLPA holds its monthly dinner meetings on the second Tuesday of each month at the Bold Knight Bistro in downtown San Jose. We feature guest speakers who are invited to make an educational presentation to SCCoLPA's members and guests. At each dinner meeting SCCoLPA provides continuing education credits, i.e., MCLE for attorneys and paralegals and CCLS credit for California Certified Legal Secretaries. SCCoLPA also conducts its business meetings according to its Bylaws and Standing Rules. The cost for the dinner meetings is typically $25 for members of SCCoLPA and $27 for non-members.
Becoming a member of SCCoLPA and LSI entitles you to receive discounts on enrollment fees for educational meetings, seminars, conferences, and dinner meetings presented by SCCoLPA and LSI. Benefits available to qualified members of LSI (of which you are automatically a member when you join SCCoLPA as an active member) include Hertz discounts; membership in credit unions; dental, health, retirement, and disability plans. SCCoLPA is always looking for additional benefits to offer to its members.
